This repair may be done by removal and replacement of the damaged lacing.
The practices and processes referred to in the procedure by the TASK numbers are in the SPM.
NOTE
Equivalent equipment may be used.
NOTE
To identify the consumable materials refer to the PCI.

Refer to Figure.
Tie the hitch at both ends of the harness. Refer to Figure, detail A
NOTE
Do not overtighten the clove hitch to stress or deform the harness wires or insulation.
Tie the clove hitch knot
Use the CoMat 02-159 LACING TAPE. Refer to Figure, detail B.
NOTE
If the lacing slips along the harness, wrap the lacing around one wire of the harness while the clove hitch is tied. Refer to Figure, detail C.
Tie a square knot tightly over the clove hitch knot
Space lacing ties approximately every 2.0 in. (50.8 mm).
Add a tie, if necessary, to support branches and the end of the harness.
Continue tying for the length of the harness
SUBTASK 78-32-47-350-051 Replace the Lacing
NOTE
Double the lacing cord when the harness exceeds 1.0 in. (25.4 mm) in diameter.
