Description

  1. TASK 79-11-51-990-501 Oil Tank Valve - Related Parts - Description And Operation Of The pressurizing Valve

    1. Description

The oil tank valve is a component of the gearbox module. The purpose of the valve is to ensure an adequate inlet pressure to the lubrication stage inlet of the oil pump. The valve is located on the oil tank attached to the flange of the deaerator, refer to Figure.

    2. Operation

Any over pressurization in the oil tank causes the aperture of the valve to open and lets the air/oil mixture breathe to the deoiler. A pressure relief hole in the valve allows residual oil tank pressure to escape when the engine is turned off.

The good condition of the pressurization valve assembly makes sure that the oil tank and the pressure oil pump operate safely.
