Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 79-22-41-350-051 Blend Repair the Cover (01-050) Rough Surfaces at Location 1

    2. Refer to Figure.

      1. Hand polish and blend.

        1. Refer to SPM TASK 70-35-03-300-501.

        2. The maximum depth of the blending is 0.037 in. (0.94 mm).

      1. Repair the surface protection

      2. Repair, VRS5333 (Repair-002) TASK 79-22-41-300-002.

    1. SUBTASK 79-22-41-350-052 Blend Repair the Cover (01-050) Machined Surfaces

    2. Refer to Figure.

      1. Not seal surfaces at location 2

        1. Hand polish and blend.

          1. Refer to SPM TASK 70-35-03-300-501.

          2. The maximum depth of the blending is 0.010 in. (0.25 mm).

        2. Use CoMat 05-020 WATERPROOF SILICON CARBIDE abrasive paper. Smooth in a circumferential direction, not along the axis of the part.

        3. Reject cover if grooves or excessive wear cannot be fully removed.

      1. Seal surfaces at location 3

        1. Hand polish and blend.

          1. Refer to SPM TASK 70-35-03-300-501.

          2. The maximum depth of the blending is 0.005 in. (0.13 mm).

        2. Use CoMat 05-020 WATERPROOF SILICON CARBIDE abrasive paper. Smooth in a circumferential direction, not along the axis of the part.

        3. Reject cover if grooves or excessive wear cannot be fully removed.

      1. Repair the surface protection.

      2. Repair, VRS5333 (Repair-002) TASK 79-22-41-300-002.
