This Repair scheme gives the procedure for replacing the jacking pad bush.

Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 72-32-81-350-063 Remove the Worn Jacking Pad Bush (01-204)

      1. Remove the bush.

      2. Do not damage the flange of the disk.

    1. SUBTASK 72-32-81-230-062 Examine the Flange of the Disk (01-200) for Cracks

      1. Do the test for cracks.

      2. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-23-04-230-501.

      3. No cracks are permitted.

    1. SUBTASK 72-32-81-220-079 Examine the Flange of the Disk for Damage

      1. Examine the inner diameter of the hole for damage.

      2. Fine scratches are permitted.

      3. Use needle files and stones to remove raised material.

      4. Use bore gage.

      5. Refer to Figure.

    1. SUBTASK 72-32-81-110-054 Clean the Holes

      1. WARNING

        ALWAYS MAKE SURE THAT THERE IS SUFFICIENT VENTILATION IN THE WORK AREA.

        DO NOT LET SOLVENT CLEANER OR ITS VAPOURS TOUCH YOUR EYES OR SKIN.

        ALWAYS KEEP OPEN FLAMES AWAY FROM THE WORK AREA.

        WARNING

        IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE OPERATOR TO OBTAIN AND OBSERVE THE MANUFACTURERS MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEETS FOR CONSUMABLE MATERIALS INFORMATION SUCH AS, HAZARDOUS INGREDIENTS, PHYSICAL/CHEMICAL CHARACTERISTICS, FIRE, EXPLOSION, REACTIVITY, HEALTH HAZARD DATA, PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE HANDLING, USE AND CONTROL MEASURES AND ALSO TO TAKE LOCAL REGULATIONS IN TO CONSIDERATION.

        Clean the repair area.

      2. Rub the surface dry before the cleaning fluid evaporates.

    1. SUBTASK 72-32-81-450-051 Install the New Jacking Pad Bush (01-204)

      1. Freeze the new jacking pad bush.

      1. Install the new jacking pad bush in to the hole of the disk.

      2. The jacking pad bush must not come out of the flange surface.

      3. Refer to Figure.

    1. SUBTASK 72-32-81-220-080 Examine the Repair Area

      1. Examine the installed jacking pad bush for correct installation.

      2. Make sure that the jacking pad bush is installed tightly in position.

      3. If necessary, do this TASK again.

      4. Refer to Figure.
