Dress until all damage is removed.

CAUTION
TITANIUM COMPONENTS.
CAUTION
SILICON CARBIDE TYPE WHEELS, STONES AND ABRASIVE PAPERS ARE TO BE USED FOR THIS REPAIR.
CAUTION
ALUMINIUM OXIDE TYPES MUST NOT BE USED.
CAUTION
THE MATERIAL WILL OXIDIZE AND CRACK IF MECHANICAL CUTTERS ARE USED HEAVILY. THIS HAS OCCURRED IF THE COMPONENT SHOWS DARK STRAW TO BLUE DISCOLORATION. IF AT ANY TIME THIS COLORATION OCCURS THE COMPONENT MUST BE REJECTED.Dress to remove damage in the front of disc surface.
Refer to the SPM TASK 70-35-03-300-501.
The maximum blend limits is 0.004 in. (0.10 mm) in depth.
Blend the dressed area and polish out scores.
SUBTASK 72-00-32-350-063 Dress to Remove Damage
Refer to the SPM TASK 70-11-08-300-503, SUBTASK 70-11-08-300-001.
Chemically clean.
Refer to the SPM TASK 70-11-08-300-503, SUBTASK 70-11-08-300-002.
Swab etch the repair area(s).
SUBTASK 72-00-32-110-057 Do a Swab Etch
The contact time must be 30 - 60 minutes.
Make sure there are no cracks in the repaired area.
Refer to the SPM TASK 70-23-05-230-501. Use CoMat 06-022 FLUORESCENT PENETRANT (POST-EMULSIFIED ULTRA HIGH SENSITIVITY) and CoMat 06-030B NON AQUEOUS DEVELOPER.
Penetrant crack test the dressed area.
SUBTASK 72-00-32-230-056 Examine the Disc for Cracks
Use 10X magnifying glass.
Refer to the Engine Manual TASK 72-32-81-200-001-B00.
Visually examine the repaired area for nicks, dents, scores and/or other damage.
Do a visual inspection.
SUBTASK 72-00-32-220-015 Examine the Disc
Refer to Figure.
Make a permanent mark by the procedure given in SPM TASK 70-09-02-400-501.
Use the shallow etch method.
No burning, pitting or selective attack is permitted from the electrical contact.
Make a mark VRS1993 adjacent to the original part number.
