General

This TASK gives the procedure to clean the seals. For the other parts of the front bearing compartment rear air seal, refer to TASK 72-32-35-100-000.

The practices and processes referred to in the procedure by the TASK numbers are in the SPM.

Fig/item numbers in parentheses in the procedure agree with those used in the IPC. Only the primary Fig/item numbers are used. For the service bulletin alpha variants refer to the IPC.

Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 72-32-35-140-052 Remove the Sealing Strip

    2. Refer to Figure.

      1. Remove the sealing strip.

      2. Use hand tools.

    1. SUBTASK 72-32-35-110-054 Clean the Seals

    2. Clean. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-11-03-300-503

      1. Dry.

      2. Dry air blast. Blast with care, not to give the brush too much distortion.
