Procedure
Remove the grease - (Refer to the SPM TASK 70-11-01-300-503 or SPM TASK 70-11-03-300-503).

CAUTION
MAKE SURE THE PARTS ARE CORRECTLY MASKED, TO PREVENT OVER SPRAY DAMAGE.Dry grit blast areas to be stripped, as necessary - (Refer to the SPM TASK 70-12-09-120-501).

CAUTION
COOLING HOLES, SLOTS AND EDGES, THAT KEEP CLOSE TOLERANCE COATINGS MUST BE MASKED WITH CoMat 02-067 STRIPPABLE COATING BEFORE THE MASKING WAX COMPOUND IS APPLIED.Apply masking wax to all no-coat areas and coated areas that are not to be stripped. Refer to SPM TASK 70-38-24-380-501.
SUBTASK 70-33-68-300-001 Prepare the Parts
Put the parts fully into the 20 percent nitric acid solution - (solution code 44), at 75 to 120 deg F (24 to 49 deg C), for two hours - (Refer to the SPM TASK 70-33-68-100-501, SUBTASK 70-33-68-100-001).

CAUTION
DO NOT BLAST THE WAX MASKED AREAS.Abrasive blast, as necessary - (Refer to the SPM TASK 70-12-09-120-501 or SPM TASK 70-12-06-120-501).

CAUTION
MUCH MOVEMENT OF THE SOLUTION IS NECESSARY.Put the parts fully into the 20 percent nitric acid solution - (solution code 44), at 75 to 120 deg F (24 to 49 deg C), for five minutes - (Refer to the SPM TASK 70-33-68-100-501, SUBTASK 70-33-68-100-001).
If there is a coating, do Step.
If the coating is removed, do Step.

CAUTION
MUCH MOVEMENT OF THE SOLUTION IS NECESSARY.Put the parts fully into the CoCrAlY and NiCoCrAlY stripping solution - (solution code 90), at 125 to 160 deg F (52 to 71 deg C), for one hour - (Refer to the SPM TASK 70-33-68-100-501, SUBTASK 70-33-68-100-002).
If there is masking wax on the part, remove the masking wax. Refer to SPM TASK 70-38-24-380-501.
SUBTASK 70-33-68-300-002 Remove the IAE 70-38-10 (PWA 73), IAE 70-38-29 (PWA 273) and IAE 70-38-23 (PWA 275)

CAUTION
MUCH MOVEMENT OF THE SOLUTION IS NECESSARY, TO PREVENT LOCAL PITTING.
