TASK 70-36-00-360-501 Bonding And Molding - General

Introduction

All adhesive bonding, sealing, and filling operations, and all operations to apply primers for adhesives, sealants, and fillers, must be done in controlled-environment rooms, designated as Room-A or Room-B, unless approved differently.

Room-A must be used only to bond non-silicone materials. Uncured silicone materials are not permitted in Room-A.

Room-B must be used only to bond silicone materials.

For a satisfactory bond, the surfaces to be bonded must be fully clean and have good surface preparation before primers, adhesives and fillers can be applied. The procedures to clean the components will be given in the applicable processes.
