Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 70-37-31-370-001 Procedure

    2. NOTE

This procedure will not give the optimum stress-relief that you get when you use Stress-Relief Cycle 10 at 1800 deg F (982 deg C). (Refer to the SPM TASK 70-37-16-370-501.) Use this procedure only when it is specified by an Engine Manual repair that is part/application specific. This procedure is not applicable for general repairs. For parts operating above 800 deg F (427 deg C), the SPM TASK 70-37-16-370-501 is recommended to prevent local corrosion.

Increase the temperature of the part to 1175 to 1225 deg F (635 to 663 deg C) and hold for one hour. Air is an acceptable atmosphere. Heating rate is optional.

    3. Subsequent cooling rate is optional.
