General

Fig./item numbers in parentheses in the procedure agree with those used in the IPC. Only the primary Fig./item numbers are used. For the service bulletin alpha variants refer to the IPC.

For all parts identified in a different Chapter/Section/Subject the applicable Chapter/Section/Subject comes before the Fig/item number.

Apply the approved CoMat 10-058 PENETRATING OIL before the removal of threaded parts. Let the parts soak before removal.

Seal all openings to prevent contamination from unwanted material.

Discard all rubber seal rings removed in this procedure.

NOTE

To identify the consumable materials refer to the PCI.

Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 71-00-02-020-050 Remove the Hydraulic Case Drain Filter Assembly

    2. Refer to Figure.

    3. NOTE

      The case drain filter assembly must have its maintenance completed, as given in the Pall Filtrationstechnik Component Maintenance Manual (29-11-43).

      Remove the four bolts that attach the case drain filter to the raft EEC Fan Harness (71-51-41, 05-710). Remove the case drain filter together with the bracket CASE DRAIN HYDRAULIC FILTER ASSEMBLY (29-11-43, 01-900).

    2. Refer to Figure.

    3. CAUTION

      HOLD THE WEIGHT OF THE HYDRAULIC PUMP DURING THE REMOVAL OF THE NUTS.

      Loosen the four nuts and turn the pump to put the nuts in the large holes.

    4. Remove the hydraulic pump.

    5. Discard the gasket and the seal.

    6. Put the applicable covers/caps/plugs on the gearbox accessory mounting pad.
