Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 71-21-11-110-060 Remove Dry Film Lubricant

      1. Remove dry film lubricant if necessary.

      1. Refer to TASK 71-21-11-100-001 (CLEANING-001).

    2. SUBTASK 71-21-11-120-053 Abrasive Blast the Mount Tube Outer Race Assembly

      1. Apply the masking tape.

        1. Refer to Figure.

        1. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-38-03-380-501.

        2. Apply the masking tape to the areas which are not to be given a layer of dry film lubricant.

    3. Remove the masking tape.

      4. Remove the abrasive grit.

      1. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-38-03-380-501.

      5. Remove the grease from the repaired area.

      1. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-11-26-300-503.

        Use vapour degreasing facility.

    3. SUBTASK 71-21-11-380-054 Apply the Dry Film Lubricant to the Mount Tube Outer Race Assembly

      1. Apply the masking tape.

        1. Refer to Figure.

        1. Apply the masking tape to the area which are not to be given a layer of dry film lubricant.

        3. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-38-03-380-501.

      2. Apply the dry film lubricant.

        1. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-38-03-380-501.

        1. Use CoMat 10-004 DRY FILM LUBRICANT (molybdenum disulphide) and CoMat 07-009 THINNER.

        2. The thickness of dry film lubricant is to be 0.00012 to 0.0006 in. (0.003 to 0.015 mm).

    3. Remove the masking tape.

      4. Heat the mount tube outer race assembly.

      1. Bake in oven for three hours between 347 to 365 deg F (175 to 185 deg C).

      5. Examine the layer of dry film lubricant.

      1. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-38-03-380-501.
