Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 71-52-44-350-061 Remove Damaged Terminals

    1. Refer to Figure.

    2. Remove the terminal.

      3. CAUTION

        DO NOT CUT THE CONDUCTOR.

        Remove the insulation from the cable.

      1. Use a cable stripper.

    2. SUBTASK 71-52-44-350-062 Install the Terminal

    1. Refer to Figure.

      2. Install the terminal.

      1. Put the conductor into the terminal barrel. Use a crimping tool.

    3. Install the insulation sleeve.

      4. Install the protective band.

      1. Use a crimping tool.

    3. SUBTASK 71-52-44-350-063 Install the Alumel and Chromel Terminal

    1. Refer to Figure.

      2. Install the glass fabric tube or the glass fabric tape.

      1. Spiral wrap glass fabric tape using 50 percent overlap.

      3. Install the terminal

      1. Put the conductor into the terminal barrel. Use a crimping tool.

      4. Fusion weld the terminal barrel.

      1. Refer to SPM TASK 70-31-13-310-501.

      5. Install the hold down band.

      1. Use a crimping tool

    6. Install the insulation sleeve.

      7. Install the separator

      1. Use a crimping tool.
