Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 71-52-45-350-056 Remove Damaged Terminals

    2. Refer to Figure and Figure.

    3. Remove the terminal.

      1. CAUTION

        DO NOT CUT THE CONDUCTOR.

        Remove the insulation from the cable.

      2. Dimensions to be in accordance with Figure and Figure.

    1. SUBTASK 71-52-45-350-057 Install the Terminal

    2. Refer to Figure and Figure.

      1. Install the terminal

      2. Use a crimping tool to install the conductor into the terminal barrel.

    3. Install the insulation sleeve.

      1. Install the protective band

      2. Use a crimping tool.

    1. SUBTASK 71-52-45-350-058 Install the Alumel and Chromel Terminals

    2. Refer to Figure.

      1. Install the glass fabric tube or glass fabric tape

      2. Spiral wrap glass fabric tape using 50 percent overlap.

      1. Install the terminal

      2. Using a crimping tool install the conductor into the terminal barrel.

      1. Fusion weld the terminal barrel

      2. Refer to SPM TASK 70-31-13-310-501.

      1. Install the hold down band

      2. Use a crimping tool.

    3. Install the insulation sleeve

      1. Install the separator

      2. Use a crimping tool.
