TASK 72-00-32-450-014 LPC/Intermediate Case Module Components - Install The T2.5 Thermocouple, Installation-012
General
This TASK gives the procedure to install the T2.5 thermocouple.
Fig/item numbers in parentheses in the procedure agree with those used in the IPC. Only the primary Fig/item numbers are used. For the service bulletin alpha-variants refer to the IPC.
For all parts identified in a different Chapter/Section/Subject, the applicable Chapter/Section/Subject comes before the item number.
Lubricate all threads and abutment faces of nuts and bolts with CoMat 10-077 APPROVED ENGINE OILS, unless other lubricants are referred to in the procedure.
For the torque tightening procedures, refer to the SPM TASK 70-41-00-400-501 and SPM TASK 70-41-01-400-501.
After assembly apply CoMat 07-038 AIR DRYING ENAMEL to any damaged surface protection, joint flanges and attach parts. Use the correct color of the air dying enamel. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-38-21-380-501.

Refer to Figure.
Install the T2.5 thermocouple terminal block Fan Frame Assembly And Related Parts (72-32-03, 01-500) to the intermediate structure. Attach the bracket Fan Frame Assembly And Related Parts (72-32-03, 01-495) with bolt Fan Frame Assembly And Related Parts (72-32-03, 01-510) to the terminal block. Torque the bolt to 36 to 45 lbf.in (4 to 5 Nm).
Attach the earth lead to the bracket with the bolt Fan Frame Assembly And Related Parts (72-32-03, 01-510). Torque the bolt to 36 to 45 lbf.in (4 to 5 Nm).
Connect the T2.5 thermocouple leads to the terminal block and install the two nuts V2500-A5-72-52-43-01A-941A-DEEC Core Harness And Voltage Divider Harness Assembly (71-52-43, 01-015) and EEC Core Harness And Voltage Divider Harness Assembly (71-52-43, 01-017). Torque the top nut EEC Core Harness And Voltage Divider Harness Assembly (71-52-43, 01-015) to 8 to 12 lbf.in (0.90 to 1.36 Nm) and the lower nut V2500-A5-72-52-43-01A-941A-D (72-52-43, 01-017) to 10 to 15 lbf.in (1.13 to 1.69 Nm).
