TASK 72-00-40-450-003 HP System Module Components - Install The P3/T3 Sensor, Installation-013

General

This TASK gives the procedure to install the P3/T3 sensor on to the HP system module.

For standard torque data procedures, refer to TASK 70-41-00-400-501 and TASK 70-41-02-400-501.

For installation or the reuse of self-locking fasteners, refer to TASK 70-42-01-400-501.

For installation of lockwire, refer to TASK 70-42-05-400-502

Fig/item numbers in parentheses in the procedure agree with those used in the IPC. Only the primary Fig/item numbers are used. For the service bulletin alpha variants, refer to the IPC.

For all parts identified in a different Chapter/Section/Subject, the applicable Chapter/Section/Subject comes before the Fig/item number.

Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 72-00-40-450-053 Install the P3/T3 Sensor on the Diffuser Case Assembly

    1. Refer to Figure.

    2. Install a new ENGINE FUEL AND CONTROL-P3/T3 SENSOR (73-22-15, 01-010) gasket 1 off on to the diffuser case boss.

    3. Align the holes in the gasket with the bolt holes in the boss.

    4. Lower the sensor ENGINE FUEL AND CONTROL-P3/T3 SENSOR (73-22-15, 01-030) so that the extension goes into the hole in the center of the boss with the tube connector to the rear.

    5. Lower the sensor until it touches the boss and align the bolt holes in the sensor with the bolt holes in the boss.

    6. Apply clean CoMat 10-077 APPROVED ENGINE OILS to the three bolts ENGINE FUEL AND CONTROL-P3/T3 SENSOR (73-22-15, 01-050).

    7. Install the bolts and torque to 65 to 85 lbf.in (7.3 to 9.6 Nm).

    8. Safety the bolts with CoMat 02-141 LOCKWIRE.
