TASK 72-00-40-050-005 HP System Module Components - Remove The Stage 10 To HP Turbine Air Valve, Removal-015

General

This TASK gives the procedure to remove the stage 10 to HP turbine air valve.

Fig/item numbers in parentheses in the procedure agree with those used in the IPC. Only the primary Fig/item numbers are used. For the service bulletin alpha-variants refer to the IPC.

For all parts identified in a different Chapter/Section/Subject, the applicable Chapter/Section/Subject comes before the Fig/item number.

Apply the approved CoMat 10-058 PENETRATING OIL before the removal of threaded parts. Let the parts soak before removal.

Discard all rubber seal rings removed in this procedure.

The valves removed in the procedure must have their maintenance completed, as given in the Parker Hannifin Component Maintenance Manual (75-23-51).

Seal all openings when the components are disconnected to prevent contamination from unwanted material.

To identify the consumable materials refer to the PCI.

Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 72-00-40-030-051 Disconnect the Electrical Connector

    1. Refer to Figure.

    2. Disconnect the electrical connector of EEC harness EEC Link Core Harness (71-52-44, 01-005) from the stage 10 to HP turbine air valve AIR-STAGE 10 TO HPT AIR VALVE (75-23-51, 01-100).

    2. SUBTASK 72-00-40-050-056 Remove the Air Tubes

    1. Refer to Figure.

    2. Cut and discard the lockwire. Disconnect the servo air tube Turbine Cooling Air (TCA) Controlled Air Tubes (75-23-48, 03-500) from the valve.

    3. Cut and discard the lockwire. Disconnect the actuation air valve Bearing Compartment Cooling And Sealing Air Tubes (75-22-49, 05-100) from the valve.

    4. Disconnect the air tubes Turbine Cooling Air (TCA) Controlled Air Tubes (75-23-48, 04-100 and Turbine Cooling Air (TCA) Controlled Air Tubes 04-500) from the valve.

    3. SUBTASK 72-00-40-050-057 Remove the Stage 10 to Turbine Air Valve

    1. Refer to Figure.

    2. Remove the bolts AIR-STAGE 10 TO HPT AIR VALVE (75-23-51, 01-110), bracket AIR-STAGE 10 TO HPT AIR VALVE (75-23-51, 01-010) and remove the valve.

    3. Remove the C-seal AIR-STAGE 10 TO HPT AIR VALVE (75-23-51, 01-120) and discard the seal.
