Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 72-00-50-350-051 Remove the Damage from the Adjust Ring

      1. Hand polish to remove raised metal only.

      1. Use abrasive stones or papers.

      2. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-35-03-300-501.

    2. SUBTASK 72-00-50-220-128 Examine the Adjust Ring

      1. Visually examine the repaired area.

      1. Visually examine the repaired area for scratches and/or galls using 10X magnifying glass.

      2. Refer to TASK 72-00-50-200-000 (INSPECTION/CHECK-000).

    3. SUBTASK 72-00-50-240-054 Examine the Adjust Ring for Cracks

      1. Magnetic particle examine the repaired area.

      1. Refer to TASK 72-00-50-200-000 (INSPECTION/CHECK-000) and the SPM TASK 70-24-01-240-501.

      2. Make sure there are no cracks in the repaired area.
