    1. SUBTASK 72-31-11-350-055 Remove the Damaged Insert

    1. Refer to Figure

      2. Remove the damaged insert.

      1. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-35-08-300-501.

    2. SUBTASK 72-31-11-350-056 Examine the New Helical Insert

    1. Refer to: Figure

      2. Apply a compound to the thread of new insert.

      2. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-35-08-300-501.

      3. Install the new helical insert.

      1. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-35-08-300-501.

      4. NOTE

        All free tang must be removed from the annulus filler immediately after breaking off.

        Remove the tang.

    3. SUBTASK 72-31-11-220-072 Examine the Installed Insert

      1. Visually examine the installed insert.
