Remove the damaged insert.
SUBTASK 72-31-11-350-077 Remove the Damaged Insert

Apply compound to the thread of the new insert.

Install the new helical insert.

NOTE
The free tang must be removed from the annulus filler immediately after it has broken off.Remove the tang.
