WHEELS, STONES AND ABRASIVE PAPER USED FOR DRESSING, BLENDING OR POLISHING OF TITANIUM COMPONENTS MUST BE OF SILICON CARBIDE TYPE. ALUMINUM OXIDE TYPES MUST NOT BE USED. IF MECHANICAL CUTTERS ARE USED, ONLY LIGHT CUTS MUST BE MADE TO AVOID OVERHEATING.VERY LIGHT FRETTING AND/OR STAINING CAN BE REMOVED BY POLISHING, PROVIDED METAL REMOVED DOES NOT EXCEED LIMITS DETAILED IN THE APPLICABLE INSPECTION/CHECK, PAGE BLOCK 801.DRESSING MUST BE RESTRICTED TO LOCAL REMOVAL OF RAISED METAL AS FAR AS POSSIBLE. RAISED METAL MUST NOT REMAIN AFTER DRESSING.Refer to Figure.

Use fluorescent penetrant inspection equipment.
Cracks are not permitted.
Fluorescent penetrant examine the repaired area of the curvic teeth.
