Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 72-32-07-350-052 Remove the Damaged Insert

    1. Refer to Figure.

    2. Remove the damaged insert. Refer to SPM TASK 70-35-08-300-501.

    2. SUBTASK 72-32-07-220-061 Install the New Helical Insert

    1. Refer to Figure.

      2. NOTE

        All free tangs shall be removed from the fan frame immediately after breaking off.

        Install the new helical insert. Refer to SPM TASK 70-35-08-300-501.

      1. Refer to Repair Parts table.

    3. Remove the tang. Refer to SPM TASK 70-35-08-300-501.

    3. SUBTASK 72-32-07-230-053 Examine the Installed Insert

    1. Refer to Figure.

    2. Visually examine the installed insert. Refer to Inspection-000 TASK 72-32-07-200-400.

      3. Torque check the installed insert. Refer to SPM TASK 70-35-08-300-501.
