Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 72-32-17-350-089 Remove the Damaged Locating Pin

    1. Refer to Figure.

      2. Remove the damaged locating pin.

      1. Use a punch and a mallet.

    2. SUBTASK 72-32-17-350-090 Blend the Locating Pin hole

      1. Blend raised metal and rough surfaces around the pin hole.

      1. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-35-03-300-501.

    3. SUBTASK 72-32-17-110-059 Clean the Locating Pin Hole

      1. Clean the locating pin hole.

      1. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-11-26-300-503.

    4. SUBTASK 72-32-17-350-091 Install the Locating Pin

    1. Refer to Figure.

      2. Select the locating pin.

      1. Select the locating pin to get an adequate fit of 0.0001 to 0.0012 in. (0.002 to 0.032 mm) tight fit.

      3. Chill the new locating pin.

      1. Chill the locating pin with dry ice for 15 minutes.

    4. Install the locating pin.

    5. SUBTASK 72-32-17-350-092 Examine the Locating Pin of the No.2 Bearing Support

      1. Examine the repaired locating pin.

      1. Refer to TASK 72-32-17-200-000 (INSPECTION-000).
