Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 72-32-21-350-051 Remove the Slab Pins

      1. Remove the two slab pins from the No. 3 bearing housing assembly.

      1. Refer to Figure requirements.

      2. Use the IAE IAE 3P16280 Holding fixture 1 off or equivalent.

    2. SUBTASK 72-32-21-350-052 Install the New Slab Pins

      1. Install the new 2A2205 slab pins (2 off) in the No. 3 bearing housing assembly.

      1. Refer to Figure requirements.

      2. Use IAE IAE 3P16280 Holding fixture 1 off or equivalent and IAE IAE 3P16281 Pin driver 1 off or equivalent.

    3. SUBTASK 72-32-21-220-065 Examine the Rework

      1. Examine the clearance envelope of the slab pin.

      1. Refer to Figure requirements.

      2. Use the IAE IAE 3P16282 Template gage 1 off or equivalent.

      2. Examine the slab pin height.

      1. Refer to Figure requirements.

      2. Use the IAE IAE 3P16283 Template gage 1 off or equivalent.

    4. SUBTASK 72-32-21-350-053 Identify the No. 3 Bearing Assembly with the New Part Number

      1. Mark the new part number adjacent to the part number that was there before. Use the vibration peen method.

      1. NUMBER BEFORE - V2500-00-00-00-00-00A-00GA-D.

      2. NEW NUMBER - V2500-00-00-00-00-00A-00GA-D.

      3. Make a permanent mark by the procedures given in the SPM TASK 70-09-00-400-501.
