This Repair scheme gives the procedure for replacing the sealing strip.

The practices and processes referred to in the procedure by the TASK number are in the SPM.

    1. SUBTASK 72-32-82-350-056 Remove the Damaged Strip

      1. Remove the damaged sealing strip.

      1. Refer to the SPM TASK 72-32-82-100-000.

    2. SUBTASK 72-32-82-350-057 Prepare the Bonding Surface

    1. Refer to Figure and Figure.

      2. Prepare the bonding surface.

      1. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-36-02-360-501.

    3. SUBTASK 72-32-82-350-058 Prime the Bonding Surface

    1. Refer to Figure and Figure.

      2. CAUTION

        DO NOT APPLY THE PRIMER ON THE SURFACE OF THE SEALING STRIPS.

        Prime the bonding surface.

    4. SUBTASK 72-32-82-360-051 Bond the Sealing Strip

    1. Refer to Figure and Figure.

      2. CAUTION

        INCLUSION OF AIR IN THE BONDING SURFACE MUST BE PREVENTED AND EXCESS COMPOUND MUST BE REMOVED.

        Bond the sealing strip.

      3. Visually examine for correct bonding by bending the sealing strip 90 degrees.

      1. Make sure that there is no evidence of foreign inclusion, delamination, soft spot and lack of bonding.

    5. SUBTASK 72-32-82-220-080 Examine the Blade Assembly

      1. Visually examine the blade assembly.
