This Repair TASK gives the procedure for replacing the sealing strip.

The practices and processes referred to in the procedure by the TASK numbers are in the SPM.

NOTE

To identify the consumable materials refer to the PCI.

    1. SUBTASK 72-32-82-350-070 Remove the Damaged Strip

      1. Remove the damaged sealing strip.

    2. SUBTASK 72-32-82-350-071 Prepare the Bonding Surface

    1. Refer to Figure and Figure.

      2. Prepare the bonding surface.

      1. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-36-02-360-501.

    3. SUBTASK 72-32-82-350-072 Prime the Bonding Surface

    1. Refer to Figure and Figure.

      2. CAUTION

        DO NOT APPLY THE PRIMER ON THE SURFACE OF THE SEALING STRIPS.

        Prime the bonding surface.

    4. SUBTASK 72-32-82-360-055 Bond the Sealing Strip

    1. Refer to Figure and Figure.

      2. CAUTION

        INCLUSION OF AIR IN THE BONDING SURFACE MUST BE PREVENTED AND EXCESS COMPOUND MUST BE REMOVED.

        Bond the sealing strip.

      3. Visually examine for correct bonding by bending the sealing strip 45 degrees.

      1. Make sure that there is no evidence of foreign inclusion, delamination, soft spot and lack of bonding.

    5. SUBTASK 72-32-82-220-084 Examine the Blade Assembly

      1. Visually examine the blade assembly.
