Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 72-32-89-350-053 Replace Damaged Nut(s)

      1. CAUTION

        DO NOT REMOVE PARENT MATERIAL FROM THE STAGE 2.5 VANE ASSEMBLY.

        Remove the rivets.

        1. Drill off the rivet heads.

        1. Do not damage the lining assembly.

      2. Hit lightly the remainder of the dowel.

      1. Use minimal force to prevent damage to the lining assembly.

      4. Apply zinc chromate primer.

      1. Apply CoMat 07-070 ZINC CHROMATE PRIMER on the surface of nuts and rivets where they contact the lining assembly.

      5. Install the new nut(s).

        1. Install the new nut with two rivets.

        1. For riveting refer to the SPM TASK 70-39-03-390-501.

    2. SUBTASK 72-32-89-220-059 Examine the Replaced Nut(s) and Rivets

      1. Do a visual inspection.

      1. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-39-03-390-501.
