Do a penetrant crack test.

The diameter of the repaired area(s) is to be 50 times the depth. The maximum depth of the repaired area(s) is to be 0.005in. (0.13 mm).
Remove the damaged material, as necessary. Do not remove more than is necessary.
Refer to the SPM TASK 70-35-03-300-501.
Make sure all damage marks are completely removed and the area(s) made smooth into the adjacent material.
Make smooth the repaired area(s).
Refer to the SPM TASK 70-35-03-300-501.
Polish the repaired area(s) to remove the scratches and to give a smooth surface finish.
Use CoMat 05-110 EMERY POLISHING PAPER or CoMat 05-111 EMERY POLISHING PAPER emery polishing paper.
Polish the repaired area(s).
