Refer to: Figure
Drill out up to 10 rivets to remove the damaged gangnut channels.
NOTE
After you remove the rivets, some rivet holes in the diffuser case can be more than 0.100in. (2.54 mm) in diameter. This is the maximum diameter allowed for the Diffuser Case (72-42-11,01-120) rivets.
SUBTASK 72-42-11-350-052 Remove the Damaged Gangnut Channels from the Diffuser Case Rear Flange
Use the rivet holes in the diffuser case rear flange as guides to drill the rivet holes in the gangnut channels. Drill to the correct diameter for the (72-42-11, 01-120) rivets. If any hole in the diffuser case is measured larger than 0.100 inch (2.54 mm) in diameter follow the chart below to determine the correct rivet diameter/length. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-39-03-390-501. If the longer rivet does not fill the hole, use the next diameter rivet. Note max. rivet hole diameter allowed is 0.163 inch (4.14 mm).
Drill rivet holes in the new gangnut channels.
SUBTASK 72-42-11-350-053 Drill Rivet Holes in the New Gangnut Channels
