CAUTION
DO NOT OVERSIZE OR DAMAGE THE HOLE(S). DAMAGE TO THE PART CAN OCCUR.Use the correct size drift made from aluminum, or brass, or composite to remove the clinch nut(s) from the hole(s). Use minimum force to remove the clinch nut(s).
Use a drift to punch out the damaged or loose clinch nut(s). Drilling is not permitted.
SUBTASK 72-42-33-350-063 Remove the Damaged Clinch Nut(s)
Clean the hole(s). Refer to SPM TASK 70-11-26-300-503.
SUBTASK 72-42-33-110-093 Clean the Clinch Nut Hole(s)
Refer to Figure.
Do a visual inspection of the hole(s). No damage or sharp edges are permitted.

Do a dimensional inspection of the hole(s). No oversize or elongation is permitted.

The shank must be flush with or below Surface C after you flare it.
Flare the shank with IAE 3P16434 Flaring tool.

Examine the No. 4 bearing seal support assembly for the correct installation of the clinch nuts.
