Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 72-50-21-350-057 Remove the Damaged Screw Thread Inserts of the ACC Mounting Bosses of the LP Turbine Case

      1. Remove the damaged AGS3707 .

      1. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-35-08-300-501 and to Figure.

        Use extraction tool.

    2. SUBTASK 72-50-21-220-074 Examine the Threads of the ACC Mounting Bosses

      1. Examine the threads of the ACC mounting bosses for damage and raised material.

      1. Damage which does not permit installation of new inserts is not permitted.

        Use Helicoil insert tap to remove raised material.

    3. SUBTASK 72-50-21-350-058 Install the New Screw Thread Inserts

      1. Install the new AGS3707 into the ACC mounting bosses of the LP turbine module.

    4. SUBTASK 72-50-21-220-075 Do the Post Repair Inspection

      1. Examine the AGS3707 for correct installation.

      1. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-35-08-300-501.

        Use thread gage (part of Kit, insert screw thread).
