TASK 72-50-22-300-154 LPT Stage 5 Vane - Braze Repair Cracks and Surface Damage of the Stage 5 Turbine Vane, Repair 154 (VRS4624)
General

The practices and processes referred to in the procedure by the TASK number are in the SPM.
Make sure that the necessary cleaning and inspection procedures are done before this repair.
Only one braze repair is permitted per part. A "MB1" marking adjacent to the part number shows that the part was repaired before.
Do not braze repair nicks, dents or pits more than 0.020 in. (0,51 mm) maximum depth.
Before repair remove the honeycomb, refer to VRS4580, TASK 72-50-22-300-129 (REPAIR-129).
After repair install the honeycomb, refer to VRS4580, TASK 72-50-22-300-129 (REPAIR-129).
Before repair remove the Aluminide or Gas Phase Coating, refer to VRS4622, TASK 72-50-22-300-152 (REPAIR-152).
After repair replace the Aluminide or Gas Phase Coating, refer to VRS4622, TASK 72-50-22-300-152 (REPAIR-152).

The Proprietary nature of this repair requires that any facility not authorized to accomplish this repair either, utilize the Authorized Repair Vendors listed below or contact the IAE Repair Services Group to determine if a qualification program can be initiated at their facility.
