Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 72-50-53-350-086 Remove the Damaged Clinch Nut(s) from the Turbine Exhaust Case Assembly

    1. Refer to Figure.

      2. Remove the damaged clinch nut(s) from the turbine exhaust case assembly.

      1. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-35-11-300-501.

        Use a hand drill to remove the clinch nut(s).

    2. SUBTASK 72-50-53-230-081 Fluorescent Penetrant Inspect the Turbine Exhaust Case Assembly

      1. Fluorescent penetrant inspect the holes and the adjacent surfaces.

      1. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-23-05-230-501.

        No cracks are permitted.

    3. SUBTASK 72-50-53-350-087 Install New Clinch Nut(s)

    1. Refer to Figure.

      2. Install new clinch nut(s).

      1. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-35-11-300-501.

        Use 1P16567 peening tool.

    4. SUBTASK 72-50-53-220-175 Examine the Repair

    1. Refer to Figure.

      2. Inspect the turbine exhaust case after repair.

      1. Refer to TASK 72-50-53-200-000 (INSPECTION/CHECK-000).
