Use CoMat 05-106 ABRASIVE STONE or a fine file and CoMat 05-021 WATERPROOF SILICON CARBIDE and CoMat 05-020 WATERPROOF SILICON CARBIDE.
Surface finish of the repaired area must be the same as the adjacent area.
Refer to SPM TASK 70-35-03-300-501.
Make smooth and hand polish. Remove the nicks, galls, and scores.
SUBTASK 73-22-49-350-059 Remove the Damage on the Fuel System Air Tube
Examine the repaired area for nicks, galls, and scores with a 10X magnifying glass.
If blended areas exceeds the blend limit given in Figure refer to VRS7001 (Repair-001) SPM TASK 70-35-24-300-501.
Do a visual and dimensional inspection.
SUBTASK 73-22-49-220-105 Examine the Repair on the Fuel System Air Tube
Refer to SPM TASK 70-11-39-100-501.
Prepare the Local Etch Solution.
SUBTASK 73-22-49-XXX-XXX Make-Up of the Local Etch Solution
Etching time required 210 to 220 seconds.
Refer to SPM TASK 70-11-39-300-503.
Apply the Etch Solution on blended areas.
