General

This TASK gives the procedure to clean the PS3 cooling air tube. For the other turbine cooling controlled air tube parts, refer to Cleaning-000TASK 75-23-49-100-100 and Cleaning-000 in the Component Maintenance Manual (CMM-MECH-V2500-1IA).

Fig./item numbers in parentheses in the procedure agree with those used in the IPC. Only the primary Fig./item numbers are used. For the service bulletin alpha variants refer to the IPC.

The practices and processes referred to in the procedure by the TASK numbers are in the SPM.

Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 75-23-49-110-052 Remove the Grease and Oil from the TCA Supply Tubes

      1. Remove grease and oil from the tubes Refer to SPM .TASK 70-11-03-300-503.

      1. Degrease Parts by Aqueous Cleaning.

    2. SUBTASK 75-23-49-110-059 Remove the Carbon from the TCA Supply Tubes

      1. Remove the carbon from the tubes Refer to SPM .TASK 70-11-13-300-503.

      1. Cleaning of Components (Long Soak, for Cobalt and Nickel Based Alloys and Heat and Non- Corrosion Resistant Steels).
