Clean the areas around the cracks on both sides of the half loop clamp.
SUBTASK 75-24-49-110-056 Clean the Half Loop Clamp

Use CoMat 03-184 WELDING FILLER WIRE, NICKEL if necessary.
Tungsten inert gas weld cracks on the two sides of the half loop clamp if necessary.
SUBTASK 75-24-49-350-064 Weld Repair the Half Loop Clamp
Refer to SPM TASK 70-23-05-230-501.
No cracks are permitted.
Do the test for cracks.
SUBTASK 75-24-49-230-058 Examine the Welded Areas for Cracks
Use Hand Held Pneumatic Grinder and Rotary files if necessary.
No raised material is permitted on the ground surface.
If necessary dress the welds until they make a continuous surface with the adjacent areas.

CAUTION
DO NOT OVERHEAT THE AREAS WHICH ARE TO BE DRESSED.Refer to Figure.
Use Gas furnace for eight hours at 1472 deg F (800 deg C).
Decrease the temperature in the air.
Heat treat the half loop clamp.

No cracks in welds are permitted.
Do the test for cracks on repaired areas.
