General

This TASK gives the procedure to clean the housing assembly. For the other active clearance control valve parts, refer to Cleaning-000 TASK 75-24-51-100-400.

The practices and processes referred to in the procedure by the TASK numbers are in the SPM.

The consumable materials are given in the related SPM TASK.

Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 75-24-51-110-052 Remove the Grease and Oil from the Housing Assembly

      1. Clean the housing assembly. Refer to SPM TASK 70-11-03-300-503 .

      1. Degrease Parts by Aqueous Cleaning.

    2. SUBTASK 75-24-51-110-075 Remove the Carbon and Scale from the Housing Assembly

      1. Remove the carbon and scale from the housing assembly. Refer to SPM TASK 70-11-13-300-503.

      1. Clean the Components (Long Soak for Cobalt and Nickel Based Alloys and Heat and Non-Corrosion Resistant Steels).
