General

This TASK gives the procedure for the cleaning of the variable stator vane actuator brackets. For other variable stator vane actuator parts, refer to Cleaning-000 TASK 75-32-41-100-400.

The practices and processes referred to in the procedure by the TASK/SUBTASK number are in the SPM.

Fig./item numbers in parentheses in the procedure agree with those used in the IPC. Only the primary Fig./item numbers are used. For the service bulletin alpha variants refer to the IPC.

    1. SUBTASK 75-32-41-110-051-001 Chemically Clean the Brackets

      WARNING

      DO NOT GET CLEANING AGENT ON YOUR SKIN OR IN YOUR EYES. PUT ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING, GOGGLES AND A FACE MASK. USE THE FLUID IN A WELL VENTILATED AREA. DO NOT BREATHE THE VAPOR. IF YOU GET THE CLEANING FLUID ON YOUR SKIN OR IN YOUR EYES, FLUSH IT AWAY WITH WATER. GET MEDICAL HELP IF YOUR SKIN OR EYES BECOME IRRITATED.
      1. Clean the bracket. Refer to SPM TASK 70-11-01-300-503.

      2. Vapor degrease

      BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE COMPRESSED AIR. PUT ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING AND GOGGLES. MAKE SURE THAT ALL PERSONS ARE AT A SAFE DISTANCE.
