Remove the filter support.
Discard the filter support.
SUBTASK 79-22-43-330-071 Remove the Filter Support from the Casing Assembly
Refer to Figure.
Remove the high metal where necessary.
Examine the casing assembly filter support seat.

Measure the seat at different locations.
Make an average and record the diameter.
Measure the diameter of the filter support seat in the casing assembly.
Measure the diameter at the different locations.
Make an average and record the diameter.
Measure the outer diameter of the new filter support.
The interference value must be between 0.00039 to 0.00310 in. (0.010 to 0.080 mm).
Calculate the interference between the diameter of the filter support and its seat.

Refer to Figure.
Do not increase the temperature of the casing above 212 deg F (100 deg C).
Use a Heat Gun.

WARNING
DO NOT TOUCH THE HOT PARTS WITHOUT PROTECTIVE GLOVES.
WARNING
HOT PARTS CAN CAUSE REDDENING AND BLISTERING OF THE SKIN IF THE HANDS ARE NOT PROTECTED.
WARNING
IMMERSE THE CONTACTED AREA IN COLD WATER FOR 10 MINUTES IF THE SKIN IS BURNED.
WARNING
IMMEDIATELY GET MEDICAL ATTENTION IF PAIN OR BLISTERING PERSIST.Increase the temperature of the casing assembly filter support seat.
Use protective gloves.
Put the new filter support in the casing assembly seat.
Apply a load of 110 lb (50 Kg) maximum.
Install the filter support.
Let the parts get the ambient temperature.
Remove the drift.
Measure dimension H at several locations.
The minimum value is 3.8346 in. (97.40 mm).
Check that the filter support is correctly installed.
