General

This TASK gives the procedure to clean the rings. For the other parts of the front bearing compartment rear air seal, refer to TASK 72-32-35-100-000.

The practices and processes referred to in the procedure by the TASK numbers are in the SPM.

Fig/item numbers in parentheses in the procedure agree with those used in the IPC. Only the primary Fig/item numbers are used. For the service bulletin alpha variants refer to the IPC.

Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 72-32-35-110-051 Clean the Rings

    1. Clean. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-11-03-300-503.

      2. Wash out.

      1. Wash out cleaning solution with fresh water.

      3. Dry.

      1. Dry air blast.

    2. SUBTASK 72-32-35-110-056 Remove Dry Film Lubricant

      1. Blast. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-12-07-120-501

      1. Dry abrasive plastic blast.

      2. Wash.

      1. Use cold water. Use and air/water gun.

      3. NOTE

        If the dry film lubricant is present, repeat Step and Step.

        Dry.

      1. Use clean dry air bast.
