Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 72-32-53-320-053 Machine the Seal Ring Groove

      1. Set-up and machine Surface Y and Surface Z by the requirements given in the figure.

      2. Refer to Figure, Figure and Figure requirements.

      3. Refer to the table given in the figure for the seal ring groove machining dimensions.

      4. Remove the minimum quantity of base material.

      5. Make sure you use the dimensions given for the correct part number seal ring you use.

    1. SUBTASK 72-32-53-220-093 Examine the Repair

      1. Examine the repair.

      2. Refer to Figure, Figure and Figure requirements.

    1. SUBTASK 72-32-53-350-061 Identify the Repair

      1. Mark the seal ring oversize number adjacent to the part number. Example of the oversize number is P5, P10, P15 or P20.

      2. Refer to Figure, Figure and Figure requirements.

      3. Make a permanent mark by the procedure given in the SPM TASK 70-09-00-400-501.

      4. Use the vibration peen method.
