Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 72-32-55-350-067 Make the new Jack Screw Thread Hole

    2. Refer to Figure.

      1. Make the new thread hole at side of worn thread hole.

      2. Use a 7/32 drill.

    3. Machine the chamfer to 0.004 to 0.20 in. (0.1 to 0.5 mm) by 40 to 50 degrees on the machined hole(s).

    1. SUBTASK 72-32-55-350-068 Tap the new Thread Hole

    2. Refer to Figure.

    3. Tap the new hole and remove the chip/swarf.

    1. SUBTASK 72-32-55-350-069 Clean the new Thread Hole

    2. Refer to Figure.

      1. Clean the new hole.

      2. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-11-26-300-503.

    1. SUBTASK 72-32-55-350-070 Examine the new Thread

    2. Refer to Figure.

      1. Visual examine the new thread.

        1. Use a 10X magnifying glass.

        2. No damage is permitted.

      1. Examine the new thread for cracks.

        1. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-23-05-230-501.

        2. No cracks are permitted.

    1. SUBTASK 72-32-55-350-071 Identify the Repair

      1. Mark VRS1515 next to the part number.

      2. Refer to the SPM SUBTASK 70-09-00-400-001.

      3. Use vibro-engraving equipment.
