WARNING
Procedure
For steel, nickel, or cobalt base alloy parts, clean by the SPM TASK 70-11-13-300-503.
For titanium alloy parts, clean by the SPM TASK 70-11-06-300-503.
Remove grease; then, continue to clean by the applicable step that follows. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-11-03-300-503 to remove the grease.

CAUTION
EXCESS AMOUNTS OF CoMat 10-130 ANTIGALLING COMPOUND MUST BE FULLY REMOVED AFTER APPLICATION BY WIPING WITH A CLEAN LINT-FREE CLOTH (OR OTHER SUITABLE METHOD THAT WILL NOT DAMAGE PARTS) AFTER ANY APPROVED UNBAKED APPLICATIONS. FAILURE TO DO SO CAN CAUSE POSSIBLE GAS PATH CORROSION.If necessary, remove any remaining antigalling compound. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-12-07-120-501.
SUBTASK 70-38-39-380-001 Remove the Old Compound
SUBTASK 70-38-39-380-003 Prepare the Surfaces to be Treated
NOTE
No preparation of parts for application of CoMat 10-130 ANTIGALLING COMPOUND is required.Vigorously stir CoMat 10-130 ANTIGALLING COMPOUND.

CAUTION
EXCESS AMOUNTS OF CoMat 10-130 ANTIGALLING COMPOUND MUST BE FULLY REMOVED AFTER APPLICATION BY WIPING WITH A CLEAN LINT-FREE CLOTH ( OR OTHER SUITABLE METHOD THAT WILL NOT DAMAGE PARTS) AFTER ANY APPROVED UNBAKED APPLICATIONS. FAILURE TO DO SO CAN CAUSE POSSIBLE GAS PATH CORROSION.Immediately apply CoMat 10-130 ANTIGALLING COMPOUND to a thickness sufficient to prevent base metal from exposure, by either the brush/swab method or by the spray method.
SUBTASK 70-38-39-380-004 Apply Anti-galling Compound to the Surface
Examine the surface. If you can see the substrate surface, the coating is not fully cured. A slight discoloration of the swab is permitted.
Rub the coated surface briskly (approximately 10 strokes applied with moderate pressure); use a clean cotton swab made wet with reagent grade CoMat 01-410 ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL, REAGENT GRADE.
Examine the part to make sure the coating is fully cured, as follows:
SUBTASK 70-38-39-380-005 Curing

CAUTION
AFTER APPLICATION AND CURING OF CoMat 10-130 ANTIGALLING COMPOUND, DO NOT PERMIT PETROLEUM SOLVENTS OR PETROLEUM-BASED PRESERVATIVES TO TOUCH THE COATING.If necessary, apply a water soluble rust inhibitor by the SPM TASK 70-38-37-300-503.
SUBTASK 70-38-39-380-006 Preserve the Part
