General
Fig/item numbers in parentheses in the procedure agree with those used in the IPC. Only the primary Fig/item numbers are used. For the service bulletin alpha variants refer to the IPC.
For all parts identified in a different Chapter/Section/Subject, the applicable Chapter/Section/Subject comes before the Fig/item number.
For standard torque data and procedures, refer to SPM TASK 70-41-00-400-501 and SPM TASK 70-41-02-400-501.
Special torque data and assembly tolerances are included in the procedure.
Lubricate all threads and abutment faces of nuts and bolts with CoMat 10-077 APPROVED ENGINE OILSs, unless other lubricants are referred to in the procedure.
After assembly apply CoMat 07-032 ENAMEL, POLYURETHANE, AIR-DRYING, TWO-PART, GREY to any damaged surface protection, joint flanges and attach parts. Use the correct color of the air drying enamel. Refer to SPM TASK 70-38-07-380-501.

Safety Requirements

Remove the fan case IAE 1J12183 cover 1 off.
Remove the blanking plugs Air Intake Cowl (71-11-11, 01-210) from the cowl.
Attach IAE 1N20403 Sling 1 off to a hoist and the cowl V2500-A5-71-11-11-02A-941A-D (71-11-11, 02-005).
Attach the cowl to the fan case with the 36 bolts Air Intake Cowl (71-11-11, 01-008). Start at the 3 o-clock and the 9 o-clock positions and move in sequence around the flange.
Install the new seal Anti-Ice Ducts (30-21-49, 01-100) to the anti-ice duct Anti-Ice Ducts (30-21-49, 02-100).
Attach the anti-ice duct to the duct assembly Anti-Ice Ducts (30-21-49, 01-070) with the coupling assembly Anti-Ice Ducts (30-21-49, 01-090).
NOTE
You cannot do this step until you install an air intake cowl.Connect the instrument air tube ENGINE FUEL AND CONTROL-P2/T2 PROBE ASSEMBLY (73-22-48, 02-020) to the P2 hose and union at the cowl aft bulkhead.
Install the blanking plug Air Intake Cowl (71-11-11, 01-210) in the cowl.
