The harness must be disassembled only as necessary to get access to the damaged cables.

Refer to Repair, VRS2980 TASK 71-51-42-300-003 (REPAIR-003).
Disassemble the backclamps and the connectors to get access to the damaged cables.
Use an applicable forming board to hold the harness.
Make a note of the position of these items: the different types of cable ties, the identification sleeves and the adhesive tape.
Remove only the items which hold the cables that are to be replaced.
Disassemble the harness to get access to the damaged cables.
Use cable of the correct type and length.
Attach the new contacts, refer to Repair, VRS2987 TASK 71-51-42-300-004 (REPAIR-004).
Install the new identification sleeves in the positions noted in Step above, refer to Repair, VRS7002 SPM TASK 70-35-25-300-001-F01 (REPAIR-001).
Replace the cables.
Refer to Repair, VRS2980 TASK 71-51-42-300-003 (REPAIR-003).
Assemble the backclamps and the connectors.
Tie the cables in the positions noted in Step above, refer to Repair, VRS2972 TASK 71-51-42-300-002 (REPAIR-002).
Tie the cables.
Refer to Testing-001 TASK 71-51-42-700-301.
Do a continuity and insulation test

Use the CoMat 06-153 FELT TIP MARKER, RAPID DRYING marking pen.
Put the repair scheme number VRS2964 on the identification sleeve of the harness, adjacent to the part number.
