The harnesses must be disassembled only as necessary to get access to the damaged cables.

Refer to VRS2982 (Repair-003) TASK 71-52-41-300-003.
Disassemble the backclamps and the connectors to get access to the damaged cables.
Use an applicable forming board to hold the harness.
Make a note of the position of these items: the different types of cable ties, the identification sleeves and the adhesive tape.
Remove only the items which hold the cables that must be replaced.
Disassemble the harness to get access to the damaged cables
Use cable of the correct type and length.
Attach the new contacts, refer to VRS2989 (Repair-004) TASK 71-52-41-300-004 and the new terminal lugs, refer to VRS2994 (Repair-005) TASK 71-52-41-300-005 as necessary.
Install the new identification sleeves in the positions noted in Step
Refer to SPM, VRS7002 (Repair-001) TASK 70-35-25-300-001-F01.
Replace the cables
Refer to VRS2982 (Repair-003) TASK 71-52-41-300-003.
Assemble the backclamps and the connectors
Tie the cables in the positions noted in Step.
Refer to VRS2974 (Repair-002) TASK 71-52-41-300-002.
Tie the cables
Refer to Testing-001 TASK 71-52-41-750-301
Do a continuity and insulation test
SUBTASK 71-52-41-350-051 Replace the Cables
Write the repair scheme number VRS2966 on the identification sleeve of the harness, adjacent to the part number
