TASK 72-00-32-050-015 LPC/Intermediate Case Module Components - Remove The IDG Oil Temperature Thermocouple, Removal-022
General
This TASK gives the procedure to remove the IDG oil temperature thermocouple.
Fig/item numbers in parentheses in the procedure agree with those used in the IPC. Only the primary Fig/item numbers are used. For the service bulletin alpha-variants refer to the IPC.
For all parts identified in a different Chapter/Section/Subject, the applicable Chapter/Section/Subject comes before the Fig/item number.
Apply the approved CoMat 10-058 PENETRATING OIL before the removal of threaded parts. Let the parts soak before removal.
Discard all rubber seal rings removed in this procedure.
The thermocouple removed in the procedure must have their maintenance completed, as given in the Toshiba Component Maintenance Manual (24-21-15).
Seal all openings when the components are disconnected to prevent contamination from unwanted material.

Disconnect the electrical connector of EEC harness EEC Fan Harness (71-51-41, 01-005) from the IDG oil temperature thermocouple IDG OIL TEMPERATURE THERMOCOUPLE (24-21-15, 01-100).

WARNING
DO NOT GET ENGINE OIL ON YOUR SKIN FOR A LONG TIME. FLUSH THE OIL FROM YOUR SKIN WITH WATER. THE OIL IS POSIONOUS AND CAN GO THROUGH YOUR SKIN AND IN TO YOUR BODY.Remove the two bolts IDG OIL TEMPERATURE THERMOCOUPLE (24-21-15, 01-110) that attach the IDG oil temperature thermoucouple IDG OIL TEMPERATURE THERMOCOUPLE (24-21-15, 01-100) to the IDG FCOC and position the container to catch the oil spill.
Remove the thermocouple IDG OIL TEMPERATURE THERMOCOUPLE (24-21-15, 01-100) with IDG OIL TEMPERATURE THERMOCOUPLE (24-21-15, 01-120) sealing ring 1 off. Discard the sealing ring.
Use CoMat 02-099 LINT-FREE CLOTH to remove oil leakage.
