TASK 72-00-50-100-001 LPT Module - Clean The Interfaces Of The LP Turbine Module, Cleaning-001

General

This TASK gives the procedure to clean the interfaces of the LP turbine module.

The practices and processes referred to in the procedure by TASK number are in the SPM.

Fig/item numbers in parentheses in the procedure agree with those used in the IPC. Only the primary Fig/item numbers are used.

CAUTION

DO NOT CLEAN THE INTERFACES IF THERE ARE SIGNS OF ABNORMAL RUNNING CONDITIONS LIKE OILFIRE OR TITANIUM FIRE BEFORE AGREED WITH THE IAE TECHNICAL SERVICES. REFER TO TASK 72-00-50-220-001 (INSPECTION/CHECK-001).

Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 72-00-50-110-051 Clean the Interfaces of the LP Turbine Module

      1. Clean the LP turbine front flange, the snap diameter, LP turbine shaft front end and TEC flange rear end. Refer to Refer to the SPM TASK 70-11-26-300-503

      2. Wipe clean titanium alloy parts and all other materials. Make sure that the snap diameter and the LP turbine front flange are free from dirt, oil or other materials.

      1. Clean the honeycomb cells of the inner duct. Refer to Refer to the SPM TASK 70-11-26-300-503

      2. Wipe clean titanium alloy parts and all other materials. Make sure that no dirt, oil or other materials are caught in the honeycomb cells of the inner duct.

      1. Clean the active clearance control (ACC) pipe end connections. Refer to Refer to the SPM TASK 70-11-26-300-503

      2. Wipe clean titanium alloy parts and all other materials. Make sure that no cleaning cloth remains in the ACC-system pipe end connections.
