TASK 72-00-60-050-011 External Gearbox Components - Remove The Pressure Oil Filter Element, Removal-015
General
This TASK gives the procedure to remove the Pressure oil filter element.
Fig/item numbers in parentheses in the procedure agree with those used in the IPC. Only the primary Fig/item numbers are used. For the service bulletin alpha variants refer to the IPC.
For all parts identified in a different Chapter/Section/Subject, the applicable Chapter/Section/Subject comes before the Fig/item number.
Apply the approved CoMat 10-058 PENETRATING OIL before the removal of threaded parts. Let the parts soak before removal.
Discard all rubber seal rings removed in this procedure.
The pressure oil filter element removed in the procedure must have its maintenance completed, as given in the Aircraft Porous Media Europe Component Maintenance Manual (79-21-44).
Seal all openings when the components are disconnected to prevent contamination from unwanted material.

WARNING
DO NOT GET ENGINE OIL ON YOUR SKIN FOR A LONG TIME. FLUSH THE OIL FROM YOUR SKIN WITH WATER. THE OIL IS POISONOUS AND CAN GO THROUGH YOUR SKIN AND IN TO YOUR BODY.If PRE SBE 79-0101 configuration, remove the nut OIL-PRESSURE PUMP/FILTER HOUSING (79-21-41, 01-240) from the oil filter cover. If POST SBE 79-0101 configuration, remove the Packing OIL-PRESSURE PUMP/FILTER HOUSING (79-21-41, 01-250A) and Plug OIL-PRESSURE PUMP/FILTER HOUSING (79-21-41, 01-260A) from the oil filter cover.
SUBTASK 72-00-60-050-077 (PRE or POST SBE 79-0101) Drain the Oil Pump Casing (01-750)
Refer to Figure.
Remove the nuts OIL-PRESSURE PUMP/FILTER HOUSING (79-21-41, 01-310) and the washers OIL-PRESSURE PUMP/FILTER HOUSING (79-21-41, 01-320).
Remove the oil filter cover assembly OIL-PRESSURE PUMP/FILTER HOUSING (79-21-41, 01-300).
Discard the packing OIL-PRESSURE PUMP/FILTER HOUSING (79-21-41, 01-330).

Remove the pressure oil filter element OIL-PRESSURE OIL FILTER ELEMENT (79-21-44, 01-100) from the oil pump casing OIL-PRESSURE PUMP/FILTER HOUSING (79-21-41, 01-750).
