Clean the area to be coated, solvent wipe only.

Mask areas which are not to be coated. Grit blast or over-spray is not permitted in holes.

Dry grit blast the surface to be coated using aluminum oxide grit.

Thoroughly clean the surface of all dirt, grit, grease or other foreign material, solvent wipe only.
SUBTASK 72-32-41-350-062 Prepare the No. 1 Bearing Support for the Coating

Use CoMat 03-089 METAL SPRAYING POWDER Ni/Al (95/5) or CoMat 03-090 METAL SPRAYING POWDER Ni/Al (95/5).
Plasma coat the designated area. Hold to the minimum dimension. Ensure that there is sufficient coating to permit finish machining. For Titanium alloy, gas shall be argon or helium or mixture of argon and helium.

Visually inspect the coated area.
