NONEProcedure
Refer to Figure.
Use Milling machine.
Machine only the minimum quantity of material to remove damage.
Set-up and machine the damaged surface around sleeve of link arm to 0.381 in. (9.7 mm) minimum thickness.
SUBTASK 72-32-71-322-051 Machine the Damaged Surface Around Sleeve for the Link Arm Assembly
Refer to Figure.
SUBTASK 72-32-71-220-147 Examine the Machine Surface Around the Sleeve of the Link Arm Assembly
Refer to the SPM TASK 70-23-05-230-501.
No cracks are permitted.
Do a fluorescent penetrant inspecion on the machined surface around the sleeve of the link arm.
SUBTASK 72-32-71-230-082 Examine the Link Arm Assembly for Cracks
Refer to Figure.
Refer to the SPM TASK 70-34-01-340-501.
Use Dry blast cabinet.
Abrasive blast the surface around the sleeve.
The maximum thickness of the plasma spray must be 0.015 in. (0.38 mm).
Refer to the SPM TASK 70-34-01-340-501.
Apply the plasma spray to a sufficient thickness which will permit the final machining of 0.3859 to 0.3937 in. (9.80 to 10.00 mm).
Plasma spray the surface around the sleeve.
SUBTASK 72-32-71-340-051 Plasma Spray the Surface Around Sleeve of the Link Arm Assembly
Refer to Figure.
Refer to the SPM TASK 70-34-01-340-501.
The minimum plasma spray coating thickness is 0.003 in. (0.076 mm).
Machine the surface around the sleeve of the link arm between 0.3859 and 0.3937 in. (9.80 and 10.00 mm).
